Challenge

Moje Ambulance is the largest network of GPs in the Czech Republic. It serves over 200 000 clients at 30 branches.

OnlineAmbulance - Challenge #1

The analysis helped us to understand that while the mobile app itself made it noticeably easier and faster to communicate with the branch on the customer side, there were still many processes on the client side that were time consuming for staff, yet could be largely automated and streamlined. It is the time burden on doctors and nurses due to staff shortages that is one of the biggest problems in modern healthcare - which is why we took the initiative to design a back office solution that saves nurses time and integrated functions such as approving and resolving requests or communicating with the branch.

The vision of a mobile application for end customers has thus resulted in a comprehensive solution that significantly saves staff time and optimizes processes on the client side.

OnlineAmbulance - Challenge #2

In 2019, Moje Ambulance approached us with a clear requirement - to create a mobile application that would enable and facilitate communication with the general practitioner’s office.

We started with an in-depth analysis of the environment and processes of the client itself, which enabled us to understand in detail the functioning and processes of the GPs and their branches. Through the analysis, we were not only able to provide a bespoke solution, but also to noticeably simplify and speed up many processes that the client didn’t initially know were possible.

Mobile app

During mobile app development, we focused on a user-centric experience, while maintaining functionality and data outputs relevant to the branch.

Overview

Overview serves as the main page and dashboard. It starts with the branch button, including opening hours and any notifications, and continues with sections such as active sicknotes or active requests.

Measurements

For users it is important to know if the basic body values are alright. The app therefore includes a measurement section where the user can measure their data, see long-term trends and also share it with their doctor.

The connectivity to smart medical measurement devices also makes monitoring them in the app very fast.

In addition, the entire section is linked to user education so users know what different values can mean and what to do to keep them within the norm and live a healthy lifestyle.

Patient education

An important part of prevention is to inform users about what they can do to keep their bodies healthy. We have therefore included a patient education in the app, which for example in the measurement section informs users what can cause them to be overweight and how they can adjust their lifestyle to reduce it.

Communication

The communication section provides advanced chat with the branch or doctor. The chat is most often used to deal with requests or general enquiries. It is also used to send documents. This solution saves both parties considerable amount of time.

The app allows users to submit requests such as:

  • Medication and e-prescription requests
  • Diagnosis in case of health problems
  • Request for medical examination
  • A statement for a driver's license, employment etc.
  • Quarantine and symptom determination for Covid-19

Darkmode

As with most applications, we have included the dark mode support (which can be set automatically or manually). We've also changed the color of icons and elements so that, together with the dark mode, they create a pleasant user experience without unnecessarily high contrast.

My health

My Health serves as the application's signpost where the user can access the main functionalities of the app, such as - measurements, recipes, sick notes, or lab results.

In addition, important personal lists such as medications taken or diagnoses can be found here.

In this section, users can view their lab results, which are also presented in clear graphs. It is also possible to view the history of measurements and see the long-term trend of individual values.
