Moje Ambulance came to us with a request to create a mobile app. But we created more than that. Much more.
Moje Ambulance is the largest network of GPs in the Czech Republic. It serves over 200 000 clients at 30 branches.
In 2018, MojeAmbulance approached us with a clear requirement - to create a mobile app that would enable and facilitate client communication with the GP's office.
However, when analyzing the client's processes, we discovered a bigger challenge - how to reliably and securely connect the software solution from the 90s with a modern cloud-based system, which was a must for a scalable and secure mobile app.
We started with an in-depth analysis of the client's own environment and processes, which enabled us to understand in detail the operations and processes of the GPs and their branches. Through the analysis, we were not only able to provide a bespoke solution, but also noticeably simplify and speed up many processes that the client didn't initially know were possible.
The analysis helped us to understand that while the mobile app itself made it noticeably easier and faster to communicate with the branch on the customer side, there were still many processes on the client side that were time consuming for staff, yet could be largely automated and simplified. It is the time burden on doctors and nurses due to staff shortages that is one of the biggest problems in modern healthcare - which is why we took the initiative to design a back office solution that saves nurses time and integrated functions such as approving and resolving requests or communicating with the branch. Due to the need for maximum data synchronization security, we worked closely with the clinic management software vendor and designed the entire synchronization solution. This included data validation, digitization and cleansing.
The vision of a mobile app for end customers resulted in a comprehensive solution that significantly saves staff time and optimizes processes on the client side.

Overview serves as the main page and dashboard. It starts with the branch button, including opening hours and any notifications, and continues with sections such as active sicknotes or active requests.
For users it is important to know if the basic body values are alright. The app therefore includes a measurement section where the user can measure their data, see long-term trends and also share it with their doctor.
The connectivity to smart medical measurement devices also makes monitoring them in the app very fast.
In addition, the entire section is linked to user education so users know what different values can mean and what to do to keep them within the norm and live a healthy lifestyle.
An important part of prevention is to inform users about what they can do to keep their bodies healthy. We have therefore included a patient education in the app, which for example in the measurement section informs users what can cause them to be overweight and how they can adjust their lifestyle to reduce it.
The communication section provides advanced chat with the branch or doctor. The chat is most often used to deal with requests or general enquiries. It is also used to send documents. This solution saves both parties considerable amount of time.

As with most applications, we have included the dark mode support (which can be set automatically or manually). We've also changed the color of icons and elements so that, together with the dark mode, they create a pleasant user experience without unnecessarily high contrast.
My Health serves as the application's signpost where the user can access the main functionalities of the app, such as - measurements, recipes, sick notes, or lab results.

Users can access important branch informations from the overview section.
In this section, users can view their lab results, which are also presented in clear graphs. It is also possible to view the history of measurements and see the long-term trend of individual values.
The app allows users to submit requests and changes for sick notes, as well as view active and expired sick notes.
